Carlos Rubio- MEC Maintenance Manager

Carlos Rubio was born in Tijuana, Mexico. Carlos had lived in California for 26 years and had spent a considerable amount of that time working for the developer, Rick Wesselink prior to moving to Los Cabos. Carlos had worked as a boat builder in Long Beach, CA for 10 years. Carlos gained valuable experience in overseeing the production of large yachts in excess of 80 feet. Carlos had spent 16 years as a builder with a Class A general contractor’s license in California. Through those 16 years Carlos had overseen and built in excess of 30 homes. Carlos vast experience in mechanical and construction systems is the foundation for his ability to be able to build and repair almost anything that is thrown his way. Carlos has been the MEC Service team leader since 2009 when he first moved to Los Cabos. Carlos is a very dedicated and hard worker who takes a lot of pride in his work and maintenance team. Carlos enjoys the lifestyle of Los Cabos and the many outdoor activities he can do such as fishing, kayaking, camping, and off road racing.

Roberto Rubio- MEC General Supervisor

Roberto Rubio is the latest addition to the MEC Service Team. Roberto is the brother of the Carlos Rubio and has proven to be a valuable asset in the short time that he has been here. Roberto has 26 years of experience as a Yacht builder in California with areas of expertise in electrical systems, hydraulic systems, mechanical systems, and general project management. Roberto was born in Tijuana, MX however, lived most of his life in California. Roberto has a passion for the boating industry and fishing. Los Cabos is a great fit for Roberto and his project management skills along with his good attitude are a welcome fit for the in-house MEC Service Team.

Veronica Diazleal- MEC Property Management/HOA Administrator

Veronica Diazleal is from San Luis Potosi, Mexico. Veronica has a bachelors degree in International Business and spent the first six years of her career trading with suppliers from China, the U.S., Canada, Australia, and Isreal. Veronica moved to Los Cabos in 2004 where she worked as a purchasing manager at a wine distributer. In 2006 Veronica took a job working for the Capella Development in Pedregal. She was a part of the developers team assisting the sales and marketing department. Veronica joined the El Encanto de La Laguna MEC Service team in 2011 as an administrator. Veronica has proven to be an extremely valuable asset to the team since joining and is taking on roles of general property management and administration.

Carla Cueto- MEC Property Management Assistance/ Concierge

Carla Cueto has lived in Cabo since 1998 and has watched it develop through the years. Carla was born in the city of Torreon, Mexico but moved to Los Cabos when she was only 12 years old. Carla went to College in Guadalajara and studied marketing. Carla has years of work experience in the field of concierge and customer service. She worked for the El Encanto Inn as a concierge as well as a customer service agent for a wedding planning company. Carla has been an integral part of the MEC Service Team since 2008. Carla’s main focus is on customer service and concierge work. Carla enjoys helping the owners of El Encanto by making things easy for them and finding solutions to any issues that may arise.
