Leaving the Los Cabos International Airport one can either:

  1. Take left out of airport, use the toll road ($28 pesos) to drive directly to: Intersection of Highway 1 and Paseo De Los Cabos (Yellow Fonatur Monument and retail center on the corner with Mega (super market) and McDonalds.- (make sure to stay on the left side of the toll road as you come to the intersection)
  2. If you would like to take Highway 1 from the airport, follow the road to the right as you depart the airport and proceed on this road for approximately 10 miles until you arrive at the intersection of Paseo de Los Cabos. This is a large glorieta  (round about) with stops signs, in the center of this glorieta you will see a large yellow monument,  on the left side you will notice the Mega super market retail center.
  3. (continuation from the toll and the same point you arrive if you were to take Highway 1)- you will be proceeding around the circular intersection and turning left onto Paseo De Los Cabos so that you are driving along the left side of the retail center.
  4. This street is short and you will immediately transition onto Paseo San Jose (turning left) which fronts the 5-6 story high beachfront hotels on your right, Tortuga Bay condos. Proceed about 3/4 miles and at the second circle beyond the Hotel Solaris’ front entrance you will be turning left onto Boulevard Mijares (Top marker on sign says “Centro Historico”).
  5. Drive a short 1/2 mile and turn right at Benito Juarez (signs designating the Puerto Los Cabos Development (bottom marker says “Laguna Hills/El Encanto/Zacatitos”).
  6. From there you will arrive at the Puerto Los Cabos bridge. Cross the bridge.
  7. You will arrive at a glorieta (round about) with a large metal statue of a person holding a fish. Continue on the main street by going around the glorieta. You will arrive at a second glorieta shortly with large trees, continue on the main road.
  8. You will arrive at an intersection with a glorieta and a road to the left or the option to continue on the main road that is to the right when you enter the glorieta. Take the main road towards the right as you go around the glorieta. You will now be traveling up a slight hill.  As you descend down the hill you will arrive at another glorieta. On this glorieta you will exit the cement road and continue on a black top paved road. You will pass a cement factory on your right.
  9. Follow the signs for approximately 4 km
  10.  Make a right turn when you get to a small intersection, signs will designate the direction of El Encanto de La Laguna. Do not go on the dirt road.
  11. You will arrive at a dead end at the beach. Make a right turn onto a concrete road and follow until the end of the road, this is the front entrance of El Encanto de La Laguna.
